An asymmetrical shaped shawl starting with a few cast on stitches and increases at the end of every right-side row. The Field of Flowers lacework is an elegant, simple yarnover and knit two togethers. The Thistle pattern is charted for those who like charts and written out completely for those of us that like a step-by-step process. In between are Garter Stitch rows and at the end a Picot Bind Off to give a nice finished edge.

Yarn - 2 skeins of Tukuwool Fingering - Color: Auri 03 (natural medium gray/non-dyed) used for sample, 404 yards/370 meters per 100g skein or any similar rustic fingering weight yarn.

Needles - US 7 - 4.5 mm circular needle - 32 inch/80 cm. For main shawl body and US 8 - 5.0 mm needle to do Bind Off Picot edge.

Notions - Stitch Markers, Double Pointed Cable Needle Holder (for Wrapped, Stitches), Tapestry Needle

As you are knitting the shawl, imagine standing on the Scottish Highlands with the wind blowing through your hair and you are wrapped up warm in your woolly Highland Thistle Shawl. Enjoy the knit!
