Highmoor Charm

The highmoor is a mystical landscape. Its natural colors are inspiring. The peaty brown, the green of the moss and grass, the blue of the water and the sky and the purple tones of the heather.
For the “Highmoor Charm” shawl, a gradient yarn in the colors of the moors is combined with a solid medium blue to create this special highmoor blend.

Knitting skills needed
• cast on
• knits and purls
• yarnovers
• pass slip stitch over (for the bamboo stitch stripe)
• knit 2 together
• slip stitches purlwise (for the I-cord edge)
• cast off

Dimensions
The shawl is about 16 inches (40 cm) wide and 88 inches (225 cm) long from one tip to the other.
It can be knit with DK (8-ply / Light) or worsted yarn (10-ply / Medium) and needle size 3, 4 or 5 (US). Depending on the yarn weight and needle size, the dimensions vary.

Material
• 150g to 170g soft gradient yarn, DK (8-ply / Light) or worsted (10-ply / Medium), + 100 g of solid yarn of the same weight
For my shawl I combined 1 Gomitolo Molto (color 610) à 200g from Lana Grossa with 1 skein of Lovely Merino Treat (color 151 “Thistle”) from Rosy Green Wool.
Gomitolo Molto is unfortunately not available anymore, but there are great alternatives from Lana Grossa (Gomitolo Maya or Gomitolo Versione) or from Hobbii (Winter Glow or Manaya)
• 1 circular knitting needle (3, 4 or 5 US, 30 inches/80 cm long)
• 1 darning needle for weaving in the yarn ends

Highmoor Charm (Hochmoor-Zauber)

Die Hochmoor-Landschaft hat etwas Mystisches. Ihre Farben ziehen dich in ihren Bann. Das torfige Braun, das Grün der Moose und Gräser, das Blau des Wassers und des Himmels und die violetten Töne des Heidekrauts.
Im Schal „Highmoor Charm“ verbindet sich ein Farbverlaufsgarn in den Farben der Moor- und Heidelandschaft mit einem klaren Mittelblau zu dieser besonderen Hochmoor-Mischung.

Was du können solltest
• Maschen anschlagen
• rechte und linke Maschen stricken
• Umschläge machen
• abgehobene Maschen überziehen (für den Bambusstreifen)
• 2 Maschen rechts zusammenstricken
• Maschen wie zum Linksstricken abheben (für den I-Cord-Rand)
• Maschen abketten

Maße
Der Schal ist ca. 40 cm breit und von einer Spitze zur anderen ca. 225 cm lang. Er kann entweder in Garnstärke DK (8-fädig / Light) oder Worsted (10-fädig / Medium) gestrickt werden (Nadelstärke 3 bis 4 mm). Je nach Garn- und Nadelstärke variieren die Maße.

• 150g bis 170g weiches Farbverlaufsgarn in Garnstärke DK (8-fädig / Light) oder Worsted (10-fädig / Medium) + 100 g einfarbiges Garn in der passenden Stärke
Für meinen Schal habe ich 1 Gomitolo Molto (Farbe 610) à 200g von Lana Grossa kombiniert mit 1 Strang Lovely Merino Treat (Farbe 151 „Distel“) von Rosy Green Wool.
Gomitolo Molto ist leider nicht mehr verfügbar, aber es gibt tolle Alternativen von Lana Grossa (Gomitolo Maya oder Gomitolo Versione) oder von Hobbii (Winter Glow oder Manaya)
• 1 Rundstricknadel (3 bis 4 mm, 80 cm lang)
• 1 Stopfnadel zum Vernähen der Fadenenden
