The Hightower cowl was inspired by the Hightower socks I designed for Twisted, a lovely yarn store in Portland Oregon. The cowl, like the socks, is named for my grandmother, Donna Frances Hightower, who put needles into my hands for the first time at age 5.

The cowl is inspired by the long walks we would take around her country neighborhood, long stretches of road bordered by tall Douglas Fir trees.

The cowl features a simple lace arrow pattern, with a large wedge of half twisted rib.

The cowl is about 17” around unstretched, and 11.25” from top to bottom.
