Hikari
“Hikari” means LIGHT in Japanese.
I met a little cutie girl in Kusatsu Gunma, Japan when I travelled with my husband. The girl names Hikari, the daughter of the owner of Pension Vent Vert. Hikari’s smile is as bright and warm as the sun. Under the darkness of COVID-19, we need hikari to light up our lives.
Hikari, one-colour Brioche pattern is simple. NO Brioche purl stitch but increase stitches by pyop (purl yarn over purl). Both plain color yarns and self-stripping yarns can create different effects.
Yarn: MERISILK Color 19 / 50g 250m 80% Wool 20% Silk
Needles and others: 4mm circular needle 60-120cm, some markers
Estimated Finished Size (without blocking) : 135cm x 35cm
Estimated Yarn Consumption: 80g
The Hikari Pattern is the 16th pattern of “Memory 50”.
”Memory 50” is a special project to myself, for myself - to publish 50 patterns before Mid-September 2020.
I know it sounds crazy, but I’ll give it my best shot.
