Original instructions call for 550 grams medium-weight rayon and “Stahlsticknadeln Nr. 9/0”, a fine steel knitting needle between 2mm and 2.5 mm in size, for a finished cloth 180 cm in diameter.

Cast on 8 stitches and follow the chart 8 times in a round.

Knit lines 43-46 twice more. (43/45, 47/49, 51/53)

From Rnd 79-107, repeat the part inside the two bold lines three times, then knit the part past the second bold line.

From Rnd 109 to the end, the chart is repeated 15 times per round.
