Hildegard Socks
This pattern is based upon the cable pattern from a vintage cardigan. The pattern favors solid or semisolid yarn with a bit of squish to it. A light fingering yarn will appear somewhat hole-y. The original socks used approximately 70g of fingering weight yarn, knit with a mid-length cuff.
The pattern is named for Hildegard von Bingen, a medieval nun, abbess, poet, and mystic.
