Hildemar Scarf
This scarf/cowl has two versions, one top down and one bottom up. Beads are added as the item is knitted (or leave beads off and add decorative buttons as with the top down version).
Top down version: 120 yds sport weight yarn, size 5 US/3.75 mm, 16” circular needle (two circulars or Magic Loop also work), stitch marker for end of round and two of another color for marking center (you may also want markers between repeats of pattern); 168 #3/0 beads, a small crochet hook that will go through the beads (for placing them on the work--I used a #6/1.8mm)
Beaded bottom up: 130 yds sport weight yarn, size 5 US/3.75 mm, 16” circular needle (two circulars or Magic Loop also work), stitch marker for end of round and two of another color for marking center (you may also want markers between repeats of pattern); 205 #3/0 beads and a small crochet hook that will go through the beads (for placing them on the work--I used a #6/1.8mm)
