Hilla Hat
This eye-catching hat features a playful geometric Fair Isle motif and a wide brim that can be folded up for added warmth, or left unfolded for a more casual slouchy style. The hat is worked in the round from a chart that features easy to understand integrated crown shaping, and comes in two sizes.
The pattern is named after the in influential German photographer Hilla Becher (1934-2015), who is known for her straightforward depictions of post-war industrial structures in black and white.
19 1⁄4 (23)” around head (ribbing on brim is tighter for snug fit)
9 1⁄4” length with brim folded down
For best fit, select size about 2” smaller than head circumference.
Size 19 1⁄4” shown on model with 22” head circumference.
