INTRO
When I think of spring, flowers are the first thing that comes to mind, but next would have to be bunnies. With its fluffy gathered stitches, Hills and Hollows is an attempt to capture the textures of the cottontail that inhabits my area, easing you through sunny meadows with dips and slopes on a journey into spring.
The gathered stitches in this pattern are created using staggered increases to bulk up the stitch count, followed by staggered decreases to bring the count back down. The design has a bottom-up construction and is worked in the round up to the armhole division. From there the front and back are each worked individually back and forth. Charts with written instructions are included. A link to a video tutorial and a photo tutorial showing how to work the lifted increases are also included.
