Hilma Mittens
The Hilma Mittens are my version of a perfect mitten. With interesting shaping and a well-fitted thumb gusset they are both fun to knit and a classic in any wardrobe.
Construction
The Hilma Mittens are worked top down using Judy’s magic cast on. First the hand and thumb are worked separately then the two pieces are joined and a comfortable gusset is created using decreases. The mittens are finished with a wide band of 2x2 rib.
