La Coop Himmelb(l)au è uno studio di progettazione fondato a Vienna nel 1968: fin dagli inizi del sodalizio, i due
architetti hanno formulato un’originale visione-guida fondata sul concetto di Himmelblau (celeste) non come colore ma
come idea di rendere con fantasia l’architettura, leggera e mutevole come le nuvole, poi trascritto Himmelb(l)au per
creare un gioco di parole con il termine bau, costruzione.
Questo cardigan, fortemente connotato dalla presenza di linee geometriche pure, si ispira alla loro tecnica compositiva e
alla loro idea gioiosa della progettazione. Il motivo a zig zag è costruito su una semplice disposizione di diritti – il fondo –
e rovesci – il triangolo – ed è facilmente adattabile alla particolare costruzione del modello.

Coop Himmelb(l)au is a design studio established in Vienna in 1968 by two architects. From the start, the vision of the
company has been rooted in the concept of Himmelblau (sky-blue): not exactly the colour, as much as the idea of
creating and designing buildings as light and unpredictable as clouds, using imagination and creativity. The word has
then be changed into Himmelb(l)au to create a wordplay with the term bau, building.
This cardigan, with its pure geometrical lines, was inspired by their work as well as by their light and joyful idea of design.
The zigzag pattern is based on a very simple arrangement of knits - the background - and purls - the triangle - that
adapts perfectly to the model.
