This is an adult size hat with a simple to knit color design. The pattern is a variation of the Chain of Fools hat pattern. The charted designs are 16 stitches instead of 19 so the cast-on is 96 stitches instead of 114.

Without the chaining in the original design, the lines of the squares are sharper. Choose yarn colors according to whether you want more or less contrast.
