Welcome to my Hip to be Square Hanger pattern. As the name suggests this is a pattern designed using a square. Granny squares are back in fashion and the versatility of what you can create with them is endless.
I decided to create this quick and easy design to use as a hanger for many things. I have hung pot plants (both live and artificial) in mine. I have also purchased some funky bowls and plates to create a storage solution that also looks like an art piece in any environment. Great for places that have limited bench and cupboard space.
They also look great in one colour or multicolour, with beads, tassels or other embellishments. They make great gifts for your family and friends. Truly a fun and funky piece to create. So jazz up your home, caravan, office or outdoor space with some “Hip to be Square” hangers.

Tools Required:
4.5mm Crochet Hook
Scissors, Yarn Needle, ST Markers

Yarn Requirements:
I prefer to use Cotton so that it holds its shape. I have used a 10ply cotton to get that chunkier and stronger finish. You will need approximately 85gms / 130m of 10ply (aran weight) yarn.

Finished Size: Approximately 29cm unblocked when the square is laid flat.
