“The Hippie sweater has its references back to the outfits of the 70s with the knitted wide blouses. A simple loose fitting with straight sleeves and a neckline shaped by short rows. Style the Hippie sweater with a pair of high waist jeans with wide legs or with a short pencil skirt and a pair of loafers”

TECHNICAL DESCIRBTION OF THE MODEL
The body of the sweater is worked from the bottom up on a circ needle till you reach the armholes where the body is divided for front and back.
On the front German short rows are worked to shape the neckline and after these short rows the front is worked in 1x1 rib till BO of the shoulder seams. The back is worked without the short rows.
The shoulder seams are grafted together and the collar is worked as a continuation of the sts of the neckline.
The sleeves for the sleeves are picked up along the armhole and the sleeves are worked top down towards the wrist.
The lower ribbed edge of the body is cast on with the Italian cast on technique and the bind off of the collar and the sleeves is made with the Italian bind off technique. The videos for these techniques can be found on my webpage www.sannefjalland.dk
Please notice that the videos are in Danish.
