Who doesn’t love a cute gnome? They are just so delightful as decorations or to give as gifts and I adore making them.
My Hippity Hoppity Gnome pattern is designed to give you that bunny love feel with the quirkiness and cheekiness gnomes are known for. This pattern can be used to create lots of different types of gnomes if you remove the ears and decorate with different embellishments like hearts, leaves or ribbons. Your next creation is only limited by your imagination.

Skill Level: Confident Beginner

Finished Size: Approximately 26cm long (tip of head to end of back flipper) x 20cm wide (tip of front flipper to tip of other front flipper) x 6cm high.

Tools Required:
-2.5mm or 3mm Crochet Hook (or size you need to achieve a tight stitch) (same size is used for all pieces)
-Scissors, Pins, Yarn Needle, ST Markers.
-Wadding for stuffing.
-2 pipe cleaners about 15 to 20cm long.
-Wire that is pliable but still firm, 2 pieces about 16 cm to 20 cm long. (I used florist wire and doubled it)

Yarn Requirements:
100% cotton. Any 6 to 8 ply will work. I’ve used Scheepjes Catona cotton and Fiddlesticks Wren cotton in the photos.
-Base, nose and ears colour— 25gms / 60m, Hat Colour— 25gms / 60m, Feet and tail colour—10gm / 25m
-Small amounts of white and flower colours.
