second image shows a fantastic hippity hoppity hat featured in Judit Gummlichs new book EMBROIDERY on knits, published by Laine magazine
hippity hoppity hat is a basic hat worked in rounds from the bottom up. Plain Stockinette stitch and a folded brim makes it a fantastic blank canvas for any embroidery. The size is easy to adjust by adding/reducing multiple of 8 stitches. More slouch can be added to crown by adding more rounds before starting the crown decreases.
