This hat is crocheted flat, as a rectangle and then seamed and gathered at the top to create a cute slouchy beanie!

This beanie only uses two stitches; chains and single crochets.

I love a great beanie! It is the perfect accessory when you need a little something to pull your look together (or hide a bad hair day!!!!).

This is a great beginner project and I designed it with a total beginner in mind. When I first learned how to crochet, I started with a scarf (like everyone else). I never thought I would be able to make a hat or bag or anything in the round as a beginner. Scarfs are great but as a first project, they take a loooong time for you to be able to finish wear proudly!
