Hirta Mitts
These mitts let you hold celtic cables in the palms of your hands. A single knot graces the outside edge of each hand; complete on its own or when paired with the other mitt.
Worked in the round with turned hems and a thumb gusset. The stockinette background and stockinette cables knit up very quickly.
Notions required:
US 4 (3.5mm) DPNs - or size needed for gauge
2 markers
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Skills: all stitch techniques described in the pattern
knit and purl
cable crosses
1-5 inc and 5-1 dec
Lifted increases
seaming turned cuffs
