This is a pattern designed for beginners, teaching double crochet. However, its a fun pattern for experienced crocheters as well.

The basic design is for both His or Hers with a different ending.

It uses between 3 and 4 ounces of yarn so is a great way to use up left over yarn. I like to make several of them and keep them by the back door (no one goes out in the winter without a hat).
