His Lordship’s Steampunk mitts are manly fingerless mitts, knit in the round in double knit (8ply) yarn. Brass buttons and a buckle cuff add some fun steampunk finishing. Mitts are knit in one piece, with stitches picked up for the buckle band at the end.

Yarn Substitutions:
This pattern was originally designed for the Tri’Coterie Steampunk Club and was designed to showcase the hand-dyed colourway “Tinker”. Any 8ply yarn that knits to gauge will work for this pattern - tweedy yarns especially would suit.

In addition to yarn you will need:
2 buckles (or 4 D rings)
8 military style SHANK buttons
100g of DK is recommended - gloves use about 60-70g.
