Hisss is a top down sock pattern knit primarily in the round, but with small portions knit flat. Though the scale pattern may look intimidating, no stranded color work is needed! The scales are formed with mosaic knitting, so if you can knit stripes and slip stitches, you can do it. This pattern has been written to work for either double pointed needles, or circular needles.

Please note that the scale pattern does vary slightly from the original picture for sizes Small and Large. It doesn’t dramatically change the appearance, and is only noticeable along the sides of the sock.

Please use my email address linked at the top of the pattern for any questions.

Note about “Child’s Large”: Sizes 9-12 years will likely be size Small in the adult sizes pattern, and sizes 12+ will likely be size Medium or even Large in the pattern. This may require adjustment of the foot length, but should otherwise match the pattern’s instructions.
