The “Hit of the season” shawl, consisting of three identical wedges, is worked from the top down in one piece, starting at the nape.
The stitch count increases on account of yarn overs along the edges of the shawl and to the right/left of the increase lines between the wedges.
In addition to yarn overs, the stitch pattern uses knit as well as purl stitches, and “2 from 2” and “2 from 3” special stitch combinations.
With a pattern repeat only 12 rows high, work can be finished off at practically any moment.

Adding beads is optional, spots for adding beads are marked in the charts.

You will need a total of 600 – 800 meters [656 – 875 yds] yarn in a medium yarn weight. ¹
The pictured sample was knit in Knit Picks Chroma, other yarn weights may be used as well.
