Worked from the bottom up and featuring wide ribbing, “Hit the Road” features bold knitted cables on a background of reverse stockinette.
Pick up that lonely skein of aran weight yarn lingering in your stash, and get ready to “Hit the Road”!

Materials
* Filcolana Peruvian Highland Wool (100% Wool) 50g/ 109 yards (100 meters); 2 (2, 2) skein or approx. 144 (165, 187) yards [132 (152, 172) meters] of aran weight yarn that knits up to gauge. Please add approx. 20 yards [18 meters] for a slouchy style hat.
The sample is knit with Spring Green (220).

• US 6 [4 mm] & 8 [5 mm] 16” (40cm) circular needles or DPNs
• Cable needle
• Tapestry needle
• One stitch marker

To fit head circumference: 19 (22, 24)“ [48 (56, 61) cm]. Approx. hat length: 8 (8.5, 8.5)” [20 (21.5, 21.5) cm] beanie style, 9.5 (10, 10)“ [24 (25, 25) cm] slouchy style.

Gauge
18 stitches and 23 rounds per 4” [10cm] in stockinette stitch with larger needles after blocking.

Her mit dem einsamen Knäuel Wolle in Aranstärke, das schon so lange im Wollvorrat auf seine Chance wartet, und „Auf geht’s!“!

• Filcolana Peruvian Highland Wool (100% Wolle) 50g/ 109 Yards (100 m); 2 (2, 2) Knäuel bzw. ca. 144 (165, 187) Yards 132 (152, 172) m vergleichbares Garn mit identischer Maschenprobe. Für eine locker fallende Slouchmütze 20 Yards 18 m mehr einplanen. Die abgebildete Mütze wurde in der Farbe Spring Green (220) gestrickt.
• Rundstricknadeln US 6 4 mm und 8 5 mm, 16” (40 cm lang) oder Nadelspiel
• Zopfnadel
• Wollnadel
