Hoag is a long shawl/wrap that is knitting in worsted weight yarn on large needles. The pattern is named after Arthur Hoag who discovered the cosmic phenomenon now known as an Hoag’s Object; a galaxy within another galaxy. An example can be found in the Ophiuchus constellation.

The finished size is 56 in. x 20 in. Gauge is not crucial for this project. The sample was made with 6 skeins of Plymouth Yarn Baby Brush Alpaca in color 7732. Any worsted weight yarn would be appropriate.
