Hobbit Hole Cozy
Nothing says warmth and comfort like a Hobbit hole. The cable design of this cozy was inspired by the iconic round green door on Bilbo Baggin’s snug hobbit hole home in the Lord of the Rings series. The pattern uses dense three color stranded rows and adjustable ribbon ties to make the cozy heat insulating - a perfect reading companion.
Full color pictures and chart will guide you though each step. The techniques in the pattern include colorwork cables, corrugated ribbing, three color rows and sewn steeks.
Yarn requirements: Less than 1 skein each of Knit Picks Wool of the Andes in Forest Green, Semolina, Chocolate and Rooibos.
Finished cozy measurements: 17’’around x 7’’tall - fits most 4 cup teapots or one that is 20’’at the widest diameter.
Different sizes can be achieved using different needle sizes, and differing weights of yarn which may increase or decrease your yardage requirements.
This pattern is also available at Knit Picks.
