Hogwarts House Pup dog sweater
You’re sure to win points from your favorite furry friend with this colorful sweater featuring Danielle MacDonald’s Hogwarts School Crest. It slips on easily with large leg holes, and the ribbed collar can be doubled over.
A great project for your favorite yarn! This pattern is written for 5 colors, one for the crest and 4 representing the 4 houses of Hogwarts, however it is easily adaptable to just 2 colors.

NEW Sept 30, 2020 - chart has been updated for grayscale printing! Nothing major has changed other than the chart is easier to read should you choose to print in black & white & save your ink. The top 2 rows of the chart dealing with the bottom ribbing (previously both written and charted) were moved to written instructions only to make way for a Chart Key.
The pattern is written for one size, however I have made a slightly bigger one by going up one needle size. For the needle and gauge listed, the finished garment is:
Around: 13-17 in (33-43 cm)
Back length: 16.5 in (41 cm)
Underside length: 13 in (33 cm)
Going up one needle added approximately 2 in (5 cm) around, and 1 in (2.5 cm) in length.
A yarn lighter in weight than worsted will also result in a smaller sweater, so a DK or sport weight might be an option for the smaller furry friends.
Note: The colorwork technique I use is Faire Isle, and it is worked both in knit and purl in this pattern, carrying the non-working yarns across the back. Unusual, but please give it a try!
Enjoy!!! I can’t wait to see your sweaters!
