The colorwork in this design called for a unique name. The way the spike stitches seem to be pulling from below, along with the many options in striping - made Hoist the Colors a perfect name. And I have to give credit to my daughter for suggesting it!

It’s a little complicated, but once you do a few rows, you get the feel of the pattern flow - and it’s a breeze.

Gauge: 6 dc sts = 2”, first 4 rows of pattern = 2”
