This design was inspired during the ongoing Covid outbreak in 2021. At the time, the world felt like a harsh, tense place and I craved knitting more than ever. I wanted to feel cosy and embraced with tactile items around me to help ground my senses. So I stash-dived and created this sweater with thick, squishy yarn for a cosy embrace, delicate lace to counteract the harshness of the world, balloon sleeves for a sense of indulgence and a cropped, oversized fit for easy wear.
This project brought me calm during a wild time and I hope that as you knit and wear this sweater, it does the same for you.
