This pattern uses mix-and-match micro charts to allow the knitter to design their own holiday stocking. Modular instructions include flexible options for the upper ribbing, length, and width of the finished stocking.

Inspired by the festive motifs in holiday sweaters, Christmas wrapping, and Starbucks cups, all of the charts are designed to work together to create something completely unique, within an easy-to-follow structure. Use these charts alone, or add in any other charts from the expanded Doodle Series!

How It’s Worked: This pattern is worked in the round, from the top down. It begins with a ribbed cuff, then a section of “doodle” colorwork, then a mock short row heel, before finishing with similar colorwork along the foot, and a traditional sock toe, closed with a Kitchener stitch graft.

This pattern is uniquely designed to use up scrap yarn, leftovers, yarn advents, or any other small batches of colorways in your stash. The yarn used in this sample is a suggestion from the Designer.
