Hanging ornament for the holidays that can be used as individual decorations or strung together to make a garland or bunting

Make a cute Santa dress to hang in your Christmas tree or make a row of colorful summer dresses to use as bunting!

This pattern includes instructions for two dresses; a short sleeved dress with lace trim and a long sleeved dress with a belt and either fur trim or a candy cane trim. You can combine the two patterns, add embellishments, embroidery, beads and buttons.

Level: adventurous beginner

Approx size: 10x10 cm / 4x4 in

Gauge is not important.

Yarn and hook: For this ornament you will need scraps of yarn and a range of hook sizes depending on the yarn you choose.
For the dresses you will need a fingering weight yarn. The “fur” is made using any DK weight yarn with some halo to create the effect of fur. For the lace trim you will need cotton crochet thread or embroidery floss.

Note: this dress is intended as a hanging ornament and does not fit a fashion doll.
