The star stitch pattern is from a glove made in 1883 by Matli Kronberg of the Salu municipality, Hargla Parish, Estonia.

Yarn: fingering weight, sock yarn
About 45g A, 45g B, 15 yds C; total 90g pair. Not exact amount but enough to make a pair for any size.
Sizes S (M/L): Total stitches 60 (70). Measurements finished M/L: ½ circumference measured flat, ~ 3¾” (9.5 cm); fits hand with 8” (20.3 cm) circumference.
Needle: 2.25 mm circular needle for hand. 4, 2.25 mm Double-point (DP) needles for thumb. DPs can be used throughout.
Gauge: 7.5 sts, 10 rounds in stranded star pattern
Other: stitch holder or waste yarn for holding thumb stitches
Difficulty: Experience with long-tail CO, 2-color knitting, reading charts
