Holiday in the Tropics cowl is a nice fitted color work piece that is created using slip stitches instead of the traditional fair isle style of carrying two colors to create the pattern. This pattern requires only one color be worked at a time.

MATERIALS
US8 (5mm) 20” circular knitting needle
2 colors of worsted weight yarn, approximately 110 yards
of each- used here is Berroco Vintage in worsted weight
with colors Watermelon and Sage
Darning needle
Scissors
Favorite cup of coffee or tea to enjoy while you relax!

GAUGE
4”x4” - 20 sts x 24 rows in stockinette stitch

11” wide x 10” tall (unblocked)
12” wide x 11” tall (blocked)

DIFFICULTY
This pattern is best suited for Advanced/Intermediate
Knitters. Working in the round is required as well as tension
for slipped stitches.
