This pattern is written for beginner.
If you know just 2 stitches; knit and purl – you can knit this cardigan.

This will fit American Girl Doll or any other 18” doll.

Now as for the cardigan:
It is made without side seams. The only seams are under arms in the sleeves. The entire sweater when completed weighs slightly over 1 ounce, so you can make this from scraps, if you have them or get yarn from a “sale” bin.
