These adorable woodland holiday gnomes are designed for a shelf. Their luxe beards and braids flow over for visual interest.

Finished gnomes are 7” high and 3” wide.

The basic techniques are building the body from a simple round increase and basic crochet cone hat. A video tutorial accompanies the pattern.

Category 4 yarn with a 4 mm crochet hook.

Design touches are in video to show you how to get a curly beard or a soft wavy beard.

To make these you should be comfortable with the magic circle.

You will need poly fill or yarn scraps to stuff the body. Optional stuffing for hat (I did not use poly fil in hats), metallic embroidery floss to adorn with a festive touch and any mini ornaments that compliment the colors you choose.
