Unique pattern construction. The cable band in complementary cable directions is knit first to the size of infant/toddler head (and can be adapated). Body of hat band is stitched together and then sts are picked up for the rim to complement the pattern design. EASY PEASY but looks like you worked HARD to make a sassy little hat for that infant/toddler who REQUIRES a unique hat!!!
