There are few things to know about this pattern before you start:

Feet, legs, and body are crochet as one piece
Pattern is beginner friendly - crochet in spiral without slip stitching between the rows and crocheting around foundation chains. There are only 2 types of stitches used in the pattern - single crochet and double crochet.
Hedgehog is approximately 12” (30 cm) tall.
