WHAT IS IT
A crochet pattern where you learn how to crochet a summer hat or a bucket hat. You will also receive a video (2 min, English voiceover) on how to start/stop the round and how to change colors. The pattern is very simple and straight forward and you will learn a technique to make it in any size! Afterwards you can block the hat to make it more stiff, pattern gives you a blocking tutorial.
Therefore you can also use any hook, yarn and even stitch that you want.

Free pattern guide on how to make the bucket hat shape can be found here:https://matidenmark.com/holly-bucket-hat/

This version has a less wide brim making it perfect for bucket hats. The difference is in the increase of the stitches on the brim.

MATERIALS

For the striped hat:

3 mm hook
Cotton, size 1 (superfine), 93 grams, yardage: 50 g = 170 m. Brand used: Mayflower
Or any hook or yarn you’d like!

For the raffia (lilac) hat, I used:
4,5 mm hook. 380 meters of raffia, and single crochet.

For the white hat:
3 mm hook. 400 meters of worsted/8 ply cotton/viscose/linen blend and half double crochet as well as a mesh row just before starting the brim! Make it the following way: 1 dc, ch 1, skip one stitch. 1 dc, 1 ch, skip one stitch. Finish wirh 1 ss in the first dc. 1 chain counts as 1 stitch when you continue crocheting the brim - crochet around the chain when making stitches on the next round.
Finish the hat by making another round of mesh stitches, then a round of hdc.

SIZE
Can be made in any size using yours or others measurements. With this calculation you can translate any head measurement to the pattern.
