Holly Hippo is a sweet girl with a big personality! Knit from a bulky weight yarn in the round without any seaming, she is felted in a washing machine or dryer, then stuffed with fiber fill. Written instructions with diagrams illustrate every step of the way.
MATERIALS
Notions: Fiberfill, Scissors, tapestry needle, stitch markers, 14mm safety eyes
Yarn:
Hippo: 5 Skeins Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Bulky (approximately 600 yards); Color: Clarity
Substitutions: Any feltable bulky weight yarn may be substituted.
If you would like to make a smaller hippo, you can use a DK, worsted, aran or chunky weight feltable yarn. Knit the hippo to the suggested gauge for the yarn.
Teeth: 1 Skein Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Worsted (approximately 20 yards); Color: White
Mouth and Nostrils: 2 yards black worsted weight yarn
