This jolly holly hooded cape will make any little girl feel happy and cozy through the winter! The hood is generous, ending in a tip that can be decorated with felt holly leaves and berries (instructions included for using pompoms OR felting your own berries). Hood ties with a ribbon or cord. Complete directions on how to make your own twisted cord are included.

Cape has an edge of moss stitch, giving it a refined look. And the embellishments - clusters of holly leaves and berries - are festive and fun, as well as tying in with the original fairytale included with the pattern.

I recommend using a washable worsted weight green yarn for the cape. You’ll need 1 large skein (~350 yards). If you want to felt your own berries rather than use pompoms, you’ll need just a little bit of NON superwash red wool yarn.

One more thing: Story Chest Crafts always includes a Bonus Craft that ties into the fairytale. This one happens to be a very easy way to make a cute little dollhouse with holly ornaments.
