Donut sock buns are an absolute necessity in my household! We couldn’t find donut sock buns in the stores here in Morocco, so I designed two sizes for my daughters and I, small and large. I had to make it up in a way that it had a little elasticity to fit hair through, so I fashioned it around an elastic. I wanted something with a fine texture, so the gauge is fine, like amigurumi. It’s a very quick project that takes little time to make, takes one skein, and great as a last minute gift for the holidays.

I designed this pattern during the cold months; to add a little winter cheer, I added a bonus holly hair decoration.
