A medium sized tote knitted in pretty spring colours.

I dyed 4 skeins of Knitpicks “Bare” with dark red hollyhock flowers and when washed it turned a beautiful green. I knitted the roses using about 25g of Knitpicks Worsted Amethyst Heather, which contrasts really well.

The bag is knitted mainly in the round using double thickness yarn. The handles are one continuous i-cord knitted with 2 dpns. The roses are made using a single strand of yarn and smaller needles. There are 2 side pockets which you can make as tall or short as you like. They are ideal for easy access to tickets or business or loyalty cards.

Gauge/Tension: 12sts/17 rows = 4” (10cm) on US 11 (8mm) needles using 2 strands of yarn.
Dimensions pre- felting: H: 18” (46 cm) W: 16 ” (40 cm)
Felted: H: 12“ (30 cm) W: 14” (35 cm)

The pattern includes instructions for felting and lining the tote.
