The home for Christmas Socks is a symmetrical Fair Isle design knitted in candy/ boiled sweet tones. As there is only ever 1 or 2 colours used in each row of the design it is a great project for those who are new to colour work socks.

I have used hand dyed 4ply 75% Merino/ 25% Nylon Sock yarn by Wild Rose Yarns for the pair of socks shown in the photos. Approximately;
30g Snow Glow (Off White)
10g Cranberry (Red)
10g Apple Green (Green)
20g Candle Light (Yellow)
20g Morning Frost (Teal/Blue)

The colour work chart included is easily adaptable so you can personalise the design with your own choice of colours. The pattern is based on a 64 stitch cast on but as the chart is a 4 stitch repeat the circumference of the sock can be adjusted and increase/decreased by 4 sts to achieve your desired foot size and usual cast on stitch number. Likewise the length is easily adapted by increasing the number of striped rows either side of the heel (yellow section in photos).

If you have purchased this pattern, thank you so very much! I hope you enjoy the project whether it be knitted up for Christmas or at any time of year!

Happy stitching! Nicola
