Home Is Where the Hearth Is (Cozy) is the eleventh pattern in the Storytime Knits Collection. This design was inspired by and directly complements the children’s book, “In November” written by Cynthia Rylant and illustrated by Jill Kastner. This pattern includes instructions for a standard hot water bottle cozy and a doll-sized one. Both feature a colorwork log cabin motif on the front in warm autumnal colors.

Finished Measurements
doll hot water bottle cozy (standard hot water bottle cozy)
3 1⁄2 (15) “ (9 (38) cm) approx length with collar folded
2 1⁄4 (8 1⁄3) “ (5.5 (21) cm) approx width

Materials
Good Wool from Purl Soho (100% wool) (383 yards (350 m)/ 100 g (3.53 oz) per skein): 1 skein each in Apple Cider (A), Hay Field (B), Red Prune (C), and Winter Grass (D)
OR approx 21 yards (20 m) in A, 17 yards (16 m) in B, 42 yards (39 m] in C, and 256 yards (234 m) in D of sport weight yarn to make both cozies
US 4 (3.5 mm) 16” (40 cm) circular or straight needles (or size required to obtain gauge)
US 3 (3.25 mm) 16” (40 cm) circular or straight needles and double pointed needles (or one size smaller than gauge needles)

Gauge
22 sts and 44 rows to 4” (10 cm) in Garter Stitch pattern on US 4 (3.5 mm) needles

Note: Sections 13 and 14 are a little bit skinnier than the other sections. If they were any bigger, the cover would be too big for a standard water bottle.
