“Home On The Ridge”
This traditional shaped shawl has been created as part of this years knit along with Honey Girl Farms Yarns, inspired by the Outlander story.
I have used stitches and shaping to represent the ridges of the land both in Scotland and America, so home represents wherever the soul is calling to or living.
Its been created in aran weight yarn to give weight and warmth to the shawl.
If you require it to be bigger than the finished dimensions in the pattern then the instructions to enlarge it are given within the pattern.
It’s a style that’s perfect for any Outlander or fan of Scotland, wanting to create a piece that holds memories of a remarkable country.
The stitches required are knit, purl, a yarn over, slipped stitches, and increasing left and right. All instructions are included in the pattern.
A gauge isn’t really needed for this design as you are working with the skeins until they run out.
It’s been inspired by my love of Outlander, the Scottish Highlands and historical clothing and textiles.
