The original design for this potholder was inspired by Astrid Schandy and was a potholder specially designed for my sister and the name of her new home. I modified the original pattern and named this potholder HOME.

I only started learning interlocking crochet about 6 months ago and thanks to Astrid’s great designs it inspired me to have a go at designing. By trying my hand at designing I have also learnt how to read the interlocking crochet chart.

I have used Scheepjes Catona 100% cotton in Snow White and Green Yellow and a 3mm hook but you can use whatever you have but make sure you change to the appropriate hook size. If using a thicker yarn and larger hook your potholder will be larger.
