You will need 1 x 50g ball of yarn in each of 7 colours.

Worked in stocking stitch with moss-stitch borders, the colour work in this retro sampler is produced in two ways - using the intarsia technique for the bold blocks of colour in the flowers and Swiss darning to add the finer details and lettering.

Although this sampler is mostly worked in easy stocking stitch, incorporating coloured designs whether by the intarsia technique or Swiss darning needs practice.
