This trivet is the perfect little accessory to protect your surfaces from hot pots and plates when you take them off the stove! They add a homey touch to your table or would make a lovely gift. It is worked in seed stitch and stockinette stitch and uses the intarsia color work technique for the door and windows.

What you will need:
US 10.5 (6.5 mm) straight knitting needles
30 yards in “color 1” and 20 yards of “color 2” of super bulky weight yarn, such as Lion Brand Thick & Quick
Scissors
A tapestry needle

Skill level: Beginner/Intermediate beginner

Skills needed: Casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch, intarsia, purling two stitches together, binding off.
