This lampshade has been designed to fit a cylindrical pendant lampshade with a 75 cm / 29 1/2” diameter and 22 cm / 8 2/3” height.

The gauge of 8 sts / 12 rows = 10 cm / 4” is for unblocked stockinette. Once the shade cover is stretched over the lampshade it is 7 sts / 11 rows = 10 cm / 4”

Accurate swatching is highly recommended.

If using a different yarn that doesn’t knit up to gauge, you might want to downsize the lampshade base according to your own gauge.

My lampshade was made using a kit - there are lots of different diameters available and the height can easily be adjusted, so it’s not difficult to make a shade to fit your gauge.
