Homegrown Hoodie, my size
CONSTRUCTION
This loose-fitting, compound-raglan pullover with a relaxed fit comes with a front pocket and a hood. This contiguous set-in-sleeve design is worked primarily in stockinette, with some garter to aid shaping the shoulder lines, and ribbed edges throughout. Beginning at the back neck, the shoulders are increased at four points similar to a raglan yoke, while simultaneously shaping the neckline. The top of the sleeve and armhole shaping are also done within the yoke. Once the garment is divided for sleeves and body, the body is worked straight in stockinette until stitches are put on hold and sections are worked separately to shape the front and liner of the pocket. The long sleeves are seamlessly shaped in the round as one piece to the cuffs. In final steps, the neckline is picked up to work the hood, which is shaped using short rows (optional), increases and decreases.
This pattern includes Progress Trackers to keep on top of stitch counts per section, provided per size.
HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR SIZE
This pattern has 9 size options. Choose a size that will give 4-8 inches (10-20.5cm) of positive ease at bust or chest (the difference between body’s smaller measurements and the garment’s larger measurements at these points). Ideally, the cross-shoulder width of the garment should match your measurement exactly, while still providing positive ease at bust/chest. Sample shown on 5’10” body in Size 3 with 6.5 inches (16.5cm) positive ease. The most fool-proof method is to measure a similar fitting garment in your wardrobe and choose size that matches. See schematic in photos.
