Homeland Headband
This pattern is a part of my thesis project Homeland Collection, which is a collection of five knitting patterns designed for the wool of Finnish landrace breeds. The whole collection is also available as an eBook.
Homeland Headband is a squishy, buttoned headband. The headband has a fun construction to achieve the vertical cables. The lining is knit in stockinette, and the double fabric ensures a warm result. The cables and lining are kitchenered into a tube, and the headband is finished with buttons and buttonholes on the ends. The pattern includes both charted and written versions for the cables. The pattern is written for magic loop, but the ends can be worked with dpns as well.
